The North Carolina Association of Housing Code Officials is a state organization that has been committed to code enforcement for over 20 years through the promotion of technical, legal, and the administrative quality of code enforcement; the education of the public and the representation of officials whose duties include enforcement and/or administration of code enforcement ordinances in North Carolina. 

We seek to maintain and improve the housing stock throughout the State and constantly strive to increase public awareness of the Code and the benefits to the citizens of North Carolina.


NCAHCO has several committees committed to keeping members up-to-date on current legislative issues, membership and professional development training.

Membership dues based upon population of jurisdiction (not per employee)

Membership Categories:

Agency Membership available to any North Carolina municipality, county or agency that has adopted, enforces or is considering adopting minimum housing, public nuisance or junk vehicle ordinances.

Associate Membership (available to any individual with an interest in the enforcement or administration of minimum housing codes or ordinances, or related codes, ie: housing appeal board members and board attorneys)
Associate Membership Dues: $15.00
